Gatwick is the second largest airport in the UK after Heathrow Airport, and is located 45km (28 miles) south of London.  The main travel options to get into Central London from Gatwick are:

Gatwick Express to London Victoria - around 30 minutes

The Gatwick Express is the fastest way into Central London.  There are trains every 15 minutes between Gatwick Airport's South Terminal and London Victoria Station every day from 04:35 to 01:35.  Standard fares are £18.90 single and £33.20 return.  Journey time is 30 minutes and the service is non-stop to Victoria station.

Services to London Bridge, Blackfriars and St. Pancras - around 40 to 55 minutes

Thameslink (First Capital Connect) run services to London Bridge, Blackfriars and St. Pancras stations.  Trains leave approximately every 30 minutes.  A standard adult single is £9.80.  The journey to London Bridge takes 40 minutes.

Southern Railway also runs two trains per hour during the day between Gatwick and London Bridge.  The journey time is 52 minutes, and a standard single ticket costs £9.80.

easyBus offers a high frequency, low-cost express bus service between Gatwick and Earls Court/West Brompton.  Prices start at £2 (online price) one way.  Book online and early for the best prices.

Licensed Taxi to Central London - between 60 and 75 minutes

There are usually taxis queuing for customers at London's airports.  Only use a black cab or reputable mini-cab and never use unauthorised drivers.  The official Gatwick taxi concession is Checker Cars.  You can ask the driver for an estimate of out how much your journey will cost beforehand.
